Cheryl
Wanner
Cheryl is a native Californian transplanted to the Pacific Northwest where she met and married the love of her life, raised two kids, assisted in running multiple pizza stores, and developed her passion (ignited at age twelve) for writing. Faith and family have always been central to her life along with her love of creating fictional characters and telling their stories.
Cheryl is a long time contributor to Oregon Coast Magazine where her article on jetty fishing remains the most viewed on OCM’s website. As a novelist, she is passionate about stories with deep emotional heart and voicey writing that brings characters and setting to life. She writes upper level YA.
She is also an amateur nature and wildlife photographer and a synth keyboardist for her church worship band. She and her husband are former host parents of high school and college students from Europe and Asia and are currently involved in a ministry for people with developmental disabilities. They have a daughter who is a university professor and a son who owns a LEGO store.
Cheryl lives in northwest Oregon where you can find her, Nikon in hand, on the pristine beaches and rugged headlands of the Oregon Coast.
